Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate distributed cloud services supporting mission-critical Dataverse Runtime workloads.
- Develop platform capabilities that allow AI agents, copilots, and intelligent applications to securely access enterprise data, execute business logic, and automate workflows.
- Drive reliability, scalability, security, performance, and operational excellence improvements across core runtime services.
- Lead technical architecture, design reviews, and engineering decisions across multiple feature areas and partner teams.
- Own services across design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, live-site support, and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a Designated Responsible Individual through on-call rotations, incident mitigation, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
- Use AI-powered engineering tools and workflows to improve development velocity, code quality, operations, and productivity.
- Mentor engineers and establish modern software engineering, AI-assisted development, operational excellence, and technical leadership practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with C#, Java, C++, Python, or similar programming languages.
- Experience driving technical initiatives across multiple services, components, or engineering teams.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving complex production issues, operating services, monitoring, incident response, and operational excellence.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools and workflows across design, implementation, testing, debugging, operations, and productivity optimization.
- Experience building large-scale SaaS platforms, cloud-native architectures, distributed messaging systems, storage systems, and large-scale data platforms.
- Experience with Azure services, highly available production services, developer platforms, extensibility frameworks, APIs, workflow engines, or execution runtimes.
- Experience designing or developing AI-powered applications, copilots, agents, orchestration frameworks, or intelligent workflow systems.
- Experience creating AI-enabled engineering solutions and using AI technologies for incident investigation, root cause analysis, testing, deployment, and software delivery.
- Track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical decisions across organizational boundaries.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
Benefits
- The typical U.S. base pay range is USD $119,800–$234,700 per year, with a separate San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area range of USD $160,200–$261,000 per year.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The position will remain open for at least five days and accepts applications on an ongoing basis until filled.
