Base Salary
$250k - $405k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and deliver opportunities to accelerate software development and delivery with AI.
- Work with engineering and business teams to understand workflows, constraints, and bottlenecks and build targeted solutions.
- Build and operate development environments, build and test systems, code review tooling, and release infrastructure.
- Improve codebases, systems, and internal knowledge so agents can navigate and use them effectively.
- Take agent-driven workflows from prototype to production with evaluations, verification, and safety controls.
- Measure the impact of acceleration work on development time, review effort, software quality, and production reliability.
- Evaluate emerging models, tools, and approaches through hands-on experimentation and drive adoption of effective technologies.
- Use AI extensively in engineering work and help colleagues and recruiting teams develop effective AI-enabled engineering practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally including infrastructure, platform engineering, or developer productivity work in technically complex environments.
- Daily hands-on experience with AI models and coding tools, including judgment about their capabilities, limitations, and verification needs.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust, with willingness to learn additional languages.
- Broad familiarity with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, data pipelines, and ML tooling used by AI product and applied research teams.
- Ability to understand workflows across engineering, research, business, and operations teams and build tools around practical user constraints.
- Ability to improve the clarity, operability, and changeability of codebases, systems, and processes through reliable automation.
- Sound technical judgment when experimenting, committing to an approach, and shipping pragmatic solutions.
