Base Salary
$149k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and delivery of cross-cutting developer-productivity capabilities spanning desktop experiences, backend services, data and analytics platforms, governance workflows, and AI coding-tool integrations.
- Build backend APIs, data models, ingestion flows, dashboards, and user experiences connecting AI tool usage to actionable engineering outcomes.
- Set technical direction, translate ambiguous requirements into designs and delivery plans, and partner with product and engineering stakeholders on priorities and feasibility.
- Establish telemetry, SLIs, SLOs, controlled rollout strategies, playbooks, and long-term ownership practices; lead incident investigation and root-cause analysis.
- Build and ship production-grade software while using AI development tools to improve speed, security, and code quality.
- Design systems in which AI agents integrate into human workflows and establish shared system context, standards, operational knowledge, and decision records.
- Raise technical quality through design and code reviews, coaching, pairing, delegation, and accountability for technical outcomes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience designing and building production software, including full-stack applications, backend services, developer tools, or internal platforms.
- Strong programming skills across frontend, backend, APIs, data stores, and distributed system boundaries.
- Experience taking ambiguous product or platform requirements through design, implementation, testing, rollout, and production ownership.
- Ability to communicate designs clearly, make technical tradeoffs, influence stakeholders, and lead complex cross-team work.
- Demonstrated AI-first engineering approach using tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, and Cursor.
- Advanced prompt engineering skills and the ability to create precise prompts and reliable system context for secure, production-ready AI output.
- A related technical degree is required.
- Preferred experience includes developer tools, AI coding-tool integrations, internal platforms, telemetry systems, enterprise desktop applications, React, TypeScript, Go, service APIs, event pipelines, analytics systems, cloud services, Kubernetes-based services, self-service experiences, dashboards, plugin systems, and command-line tools.
