Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize highly scalable and resilient backend components, services, and orchestration.
- Deliver API-based integrations and connect to services with limited functionality or scalability.
- Contribute to system design and provide technical leadership for increasingly complex projects.
- Review functional and technical requirements, identify gaps and limitations, propose simplifications, and communicate with cross-functional teams.
- Own software delivery and support across the full development lifecycle, including product release.
- Apply engineering best practices, testing approaches, peer reviews, monitoring, alerting, and resilient architecture practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience delivering and supporting enterprise-ready cloud-based systems.
- Hands-on experience architecting and developing backend services and scalable microservices architectures.
- Proficiency in Python with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming, system design, networks, and Linux.
- Experience with AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure.
- Experience with RabbitMQ, S3, ClickHouse, Airflow, Spark, and Elasticsearch.
- Experience with performance optimization for backend components running in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Understanding of modern design patterns, continuous integration and delivery strategies, monitoring and alerting strategies, and full-lifecycle development in an Agile environment.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks and end-to-end testing tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, adaptability, and technical leadership skills.
