Base Salary
$150k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the full stack across React, Django, and PostgreSQL, including setting engineering standards and scaling the product.
- Design and scale backend APIs, data models, and infrastructure for substantially increased usage.
- Develop frontend architecture, performance, and user experience that avoids an enterprise-software feel.
- Partner with product, computer vision, and design to launch cohesive customer-focused features and drive the technical roadmap.
- Deploy, monitor, debug, and improve production systems using AWS, GCP, and Heroku.
- Prototype and iterate quickly with real customers while mentoring teammates and reviewing code.
Requirements
- Strong web architecture, system design, and performance fundamentals.
- Experience scaling software to millions of users and understanding system breaking points.
- Ability to work across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with full ownership of outcomes.
- Product judgment, user focus, and ability to make effective scope and architecture decisions.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, prioritize multiple workstreams, and execute under pressure.
- Ability to prototype quickly, learn new frameworks, and ship high-quality software rapidly.
- Ability to mentor engineers, review code, and raise engineering standards.
