Base Salary
$150k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with business teams to map workflows, identify friction, define AI enablement goals, and establish success metrics.
- Design, build, and operate AI-powered workflows, agents, automations, and production systems.
- Integrate AI with CRM, finance, HR, support, collaboration, and data platforms using APIs, MCP servers, iPaaS tools, and custom code.
- Create reusable AI patterns, skills, templates, deploy paths, documentation, and self-service tools for internal agent builders.
- Identify, build, buy, and implement capabilities for identity and access, data permissions, logging, evaluation, human review, and spend controls.
- Evaluate AI vendors and tooling, run trials, and make recommendations based on cost and risk tradeoffs.
- Develop AI usage and data-handling standards with Security, G&A, and Engineering.
- Set up evaluations and monitoring, track AI adoption, outcomes, and spend, and report results to IT leadership.
- Raise company-wide AI fluency through office hours, workshops, playbooks, coaching, and training.
- Partner with IT and data platform engineers to enforce per-user permissions and attribute AI costs to teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a technical role such as software engineering, IT or systems engineering, solutions or sales engineering, automation, or internal tools.
- Hands-on coding ability in Python, TypeScript, or similar, with solid SQL and experience with REST APIs and webhooks.
- Deep practical use of coding agents, LLM APIs, MCP, agent skills or custom GPTs, and retrieval patterns.
- Experience building tools, automations, or AI workflows that changed how a real team works, with measurable results.
- Working knowledge of SSO, SCIM, OAuth scopes, service accounts, least privilege, and AI data permissions.
- Ability to define quality criteria, test outputs, and own results.
- Ability to facilitate workshops and training and explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong business judgment, trust-building skills, clear writing, teaching ability, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Preferred experience as a forward-deployed engineer, solutions engineer, or consultant delivering results within another organization.
- Preferred experience with Workato, Zapier, n8n, Make, enterprise AI platforms, AI governance frameworks, SOC 2-style programs, data warehouses, data pipelines, retrieval systems, cloud infrastructure, cloud cost management, SaaS spend management, change leadership, or internal training programs.
