Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain back-end services using C#, ADO.NET, and SQL Server.
- Implement and evolve versioned SOAP and REST APIs using security and engineering best practices.
- Integrate multiple systems and services using appropriate software design patterns.
- Ensure service reliability through unit and integration testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
- Contribute to CI/CD workflows and improve development and deployment quality.
- Collaborate with distributed teams across Colombia, Brazil, the UK, and the USA in English.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply improvements to existing solutions.
Requirements
- Strong production experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core.
- Hands-on back-end development experience with C#, ADO.NET, and SQL Server.
- Experience implementing and evolving SOAP and RESTful services, including versioning.
- Knowledge of database design, performance tuning, and data persistence.
- Proficiency in XML serialization and deserialization.
- Understanding of software design patterns and engineering best practices.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Advanced English proficiency for all work communication.
- Effective communication, collaboration, ownership, adaptability, and continuous-improvement skills.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Familiarity with specification-driven development and agentic approaches to software development.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
