Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Java backend microservices for uploading, storing, and managing video clips in marketplace listings.
- Contribute to livestreaming experiences that help users present products and build community.
- Integrate AI tools into daily development for code generation and review, error analysis, solution documentation, and test creation.
- Ensure service observability and resilience through event tracing, alerts, and metrics.
- Lead initiatives end to end and coordinate with other teams to manage the impact of changes.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of backend development experience with Java.
- Experience with microservices, multimedia file storage, application architecture, databases, and REST API integration and design.
- Strong engineering practices and intensive use of coding assistants and generative AI tools; specification-driven development experience is valued.
- Experience with business reporting and metrics tools, as well as monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog or New Relic.
- Knowledge of frontend development and experience using Git.
