Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Create and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code solutions and reusable automation modules.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, deployments, and remediation workflows.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable and frequent releases.
- Implement monitoring, observability, alerting, and logging across environments.
- Ensure platform reliability, performance, scalability, operational excellence, and incident response readiness.
- Implement cloud security practices covering IAM, network security, secrets management, compliance, and remediation.
- Optimize cloud resource usage and support FinOps governance and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Define cloud architectures, technical designs, operational procedures, runbooks, deployment strategies, and environment standards.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, and delivery teams on cloud-native solutions and platform alignment.
- Contribute to platform standardization, reusable tooling, developer enablement, governance, and internal knowledge sharing.
- Mentor technical colleagues through workshops, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, Route 53, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager.
- Strong experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, reusable modules, and infrastructure automation.
- Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins, and Git-based workflows.
- Experience with AI-assisted infrastructure operations and cloud automation.
- Experience with observability platforms including CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and ELK.
- Experience with SLI, SLO, SLA management, production incident troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and preventative measures.
- Good experience with AWS networking including VPC, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, Network ACLs, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, and PrivateLink.
- Experience developing automation with Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
- Experience with AWS Security Hub, compliance frameworks, security remediation, microservices, and distributed production architectures.
- Experience with cloud cost optimization, FinOps governance, and Cloudability or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of release management, deployment strategies, environment management, and automated remediation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, autonomy, continuous-learning, and customer-focused skills.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional and AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate are desirable.
- Experience with Internal Developer Platforms, Platform Engineering, Istio or Linkerd, Kafka, cloud migrations, AWS platform transformations, reusable platform components, self-service capabilities, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub is desirable.
