Base Salary
$106k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Partner with data scientists to deploy predictive and generative AI models as production microservices.
- Build feature pipelines, orchestration, integration layers, and event-driven/API integrations for downstream claims systems.
- Develop GenAI prompt-driven services and evaluation frameworks for assessing LLM output quality.
- Own monitoring, alerting, on-call support, and operational health for live model integrations.
- Translate client requirements into technical designs and lead end-to-end software implementation.
- Analyze system-level issues and improve application performance, quality, and efficiency.
Requirements
- At least five years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience for microservice development.
- Experience with AWS, including Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, RDS/MySQL, and ideally AWS CDK.
- Python experience for AWS CDK.
- Experience with Kafka, Apache Airflow, Snowflake, event-driven systems, and data pipelines.
- Familiarity with MLOps concepts such as model deployment, versioning, feature pipelines, and model-service monitoring.
- Experience with Datadog, Splunk, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to translate client requirements into technical designs and communicate technical decisions to non-engineers.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred qualifications include LLM/GenAI application patterns, insurance claims knowledge, Databricks, and computer vision or OCR pipeline experience.
- Ability to use and critically evaluate AI tools responsibly while protecting confidential and customer data.
