Responsibilities
- Design and script sophisticated automated tests for complex game systems.
- Extend, maintain, and improve existing automated test scripts and coverage.
- Investigate complex or intermittent defects using automation logs and diagnostic data.
- Provide automated reproduction steps and technical defect context to engineering teams.
- Monitor and maintain the reliability, efficiency, and stability of automation pipelines within CI/CD systems.
- Advise the studio on automation tools and translate manual testing requirements into technical specifications.
Requirements
- More than 4 years of professional experience in software testing or quality engineering.
- More than 2 years of hands-on experience with automation programming and test scripting.
- Strong proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Java, Python, C#, Bash, Lua, or PowerShell.
- Experience extending and maintaining test coverage with automation tools or frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, or JUnit.
- Strong written, oral, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred experience testing AAA games across multiple development phases.
- Preferred experience with FPS or action RPG titles and commercial game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine.
- Preferred experience integrating with TeamCity, Jenkins, or Horde CI/CD systems.
- Preferred experience with QMetry or TestRail and ISTQB certification or equivalent.
