Base Salary
$150k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own customer integrations from discovery and requirements through architecture, estimation, build, testing, go-live, documentation, and handoff.
- Translate customer manufacturing and IT processes into production-ready integration designs.
- Decide whether to build directly, reuse connectors, enable customer teams, or engage systems integration partners, and manage delivery quality and acceptance criteria.
- Operate production integrations with monitoring, alerting, retries, reconciliation, auditability, and incident response.
- Turn implementations into reusable connectors, reference architectures, test harnesses, runbooks, and documentation.
- Identify recurring gaps in ION’s APIs, eventing, and data model and collaborate with Product and Engineering on improvements.
- Work with Forward Deployed Engineering, Customer Success, Sales, Product, Engineering, and customer engineering and IT teams.
Requirements
- 6+ years of customer-facing or delivery-oriented engineering experience in solutions architecture, integration engineering, forward deployed engineering, or technical consulting, including shipping production code.
- Experience taking at least one complex enterprise integration from initial discovery through reliable production operation.
- Strong API-based integration experience with REST or GraphQL, webhooks, authentication protocols, asynchronous processing, and data transformation.
- Understanding of distributed-systems concerns including idempotency, ordering, retries, reconciliation, and observability.
- Ability to scope technical plans from ambiguous customer manufacturing or IT process descriptions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining architecture, tradeoffs, and risks to technical and executive stakeholders.
- Manufacturing systems experience with ERP, PLM, MES, procurement, finance, or warehouse platforms is preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics 365, Teamcenter, Arena, Duro, or SolidWorks PDM is preferred.
- Experience with Prismatic, Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, or Informatica is preferred.
- Experience building connectors, SDKs, or developer documentation used by others is preferred.
- Familiarity with SSO/OAuth, audit requirements, regulated or on-premise environments, and restricted networks is preferred.
- Background in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing is preferred.
