Responsibilities
- Create detailed test plans and test cases for software applications.
- Write, execute, maintain, and improve automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API scenarios.
- Report testing issues to relevant stakeholders and work with engineers and QA teams to resolve them.
- Write readable code, review code, and apply software engineering best practices.
- Attend stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog reviews, and communicate project and development status.
- Choose appropriate automated testing tools for specific problem statements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
- 2–6 years of experience in software application automation testing.
- Experience with manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Deep knowledge of manual and automation testing methodologies and principles.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, Java, or Python.
- Experience with Jira, TestRail, Phabricator, Cucumber, and similar testing or project management tools.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, and TestNG for web and mobile applications.
- Experience testing APIs with Postman, JMeter, Bluebird, SuperAgent, Chai, or similar tools.
- Experience with Jenkins, GitLab, or similar CI tools, and Git for release and change management.
- Understanding of HTTP, DNS, IP, and server-client interactions.
- Knowledge of performance testing, security testing, and Linux/Unix commands.
- Bangalore-located candidates are preferred.
