Responsibilities
- Build distributed data storage and processing systems.
- Develop high-performance services for cloud storage backends.
- Contribute to projects like Apache Spark™, Delta Lake, and Delta Pipelines.
- Create a next-generation query optimizer and execution engine.
- Ensure software resilience against cloud hardware and network faults.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or related technical field; MS or PhD preferred.
- 8+ years of production-level experience in Java, Scala, or C++.
- Strong foundation in algorithms and data structures.
- Experience with distributed systems and big data technologies like Apache Spark™ and Hadoop.
- Ability to work towards a multi-year vision with incremental deliverables.
