Responsibilities
- Collaborate with teams outside Technology to identify and implement AI solutions for real-world business challenges.
- Embed Generative AI into enterprise data product and ML platform development workflows.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python applications and services.
- Promote best practices for testing, documentation, maintainability, development lifecycle improvement, and automation.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight to junior developers and offshore delivery resources.
- Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to meet governance, privacy, and ethics standards.
- Evaluate emerging data and AI technologies for practical viability and business value.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of professional software development experience with strong emphasis on Python.
- Experience applying Generative AI, including prompt design, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, embeddings, vector stores, and agentic AI.
- Data-centric engineering experience building services and tools within a data engineering organization.
- Experience building and scaling software solutions in cloud environments, preferably AWS.
- Ability to apply current AI trends pragmatically to business and enterprise use cases.
- Experience with DevOps workflows, Infrastructure as Code, containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to execute independently, collaborate across diverse teams, and mentor or uplift other developers.
