Base Salary
$230k - $345k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead and independently execute complex applied AI/ML research initiatives for credit, recommendation systems, GenAI, and real-time inference.
- Build and optimize scalable deep learning architectures, including Transformers and GNNs, for production deployment.
- Design models that satisfy MLOps requirements for latency, interpretability, cost-efficiency, and large-scale operation.
- Coordinate with Data, Infrastructure, and Product stakeholders to solve ambiguous modeling problems and integrate research into production decision systems.
- Establish technical standards for experimentation, model evaluation, and code quality.
- Mentor senior engineers and researchers on deep learning, problem formulation, and research methodology.
- Participate in hiring interviews, lead ML lifecycle improvement task forces, and contribute to research collaborations or internal papers.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of professional experience in applied AI/ML, including delivering research-driven systems into production.
- Deep expertise in deep learning architectures such as Transformers, multimodal models, or GNNs.
- Strong Python coding skills and proficiency with PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Strong understanding of MLOps and the constraints of deploying models at scale.
- Sophisticated ML problem-formulation and problem-solving skills in situations involving uncertainty, messy data, or limited data.
- Experience with large-scale experimentation and A/B testing.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to technical peers and cross-functional stakeholders.
