Base Salary
$388k - $619k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance production data systems and web-scale datasets for personalization.
- Contribute to Netflix’s data products, frameworks, and big data processing capabilities.
- Design schemas and data models for elegant, intuitive datasets.
- Partner with algorithm teams and diverse stakeholders to improve personalization and drive innovation.
- Resolve competing priorities, influence others through clear communication, and operate independently in an ambiguous environment.
Requirements
- Expertise building production data systems with Spark, Flink, or similar technologies on web-scale datasets.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language, such as Java or Scala, with the ability to learn new technologies independently.
- Hands-on experience with schema design and data modeling.
- Strong engineering judgment, analytical ability, communication skills, and leadership maturity.
