Base Salary
$172k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize execution engines, JIT/AOT compilation pipelines, and memory management systems for scalable customer applications.
- Develop clean, reusable, scalable software and follow software engineering architecture and code quality practices.
- Own software through design, implementation, test automation, and delivery.
- Build software that enables customers to extend and customize platform functionality.
- Mentor colleagues and share knowledge on low-level systems engineering, performance profiling, and optimization.
- Work with product owners and manage technically risky projects across teams and processes.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language, including at least 5+ years working on compiler, runtime, JIT/AOT, or language execution systems.
- Experience integrating AI into software development, workflows, decision-making, or automation using AI-powered tools and technologies.
- Strong experience with execution engines, memory management, concurrency, JIT/AOT compilation, performance optimization, profiling, and debugging.
- Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and systems-level performance and scalability.
- Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, with experience in Angular, React, or Vue preferred.
- Experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases.
- Experience with LLVM, language runtime development, or low-level systems engineering is a strong plus.
- Experience working across multiple technology stacks, including cloud development, platforms, web development, frameworks, and service-oriented architecture.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with material technical risk and serve as a functional lead or technical owner.
