Base Salary
$172k - $301k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize execution engines, JIT/AOT compilation pipelines, and memory management systems.
- Build scalable, reusable software and uphold engineering practices including code reviews and unit testing.
- Own software delivery from requirements and design through implementation, test automation, and production delivery.
- Develop software that enables customers to extend and customize ServiceNow functionality.
- Mentor colleagues and share expertise in low-level systems engineering, performance profiling, and optimization.
- Collaborate across teams and processes while managing projects with material technical risk.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language.
- At least 5+ years of experience with compiler, runtime, JIT/AOT, or language execution systems.
- Strong experience with execution engines, memory management, concurrency, compilation, performance optimization, profiling, and debugging.
- Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and systems-level performance and scalability.
- Experience integrating AI into software development, workflows, decision-making, or automation using AI-powered tools and technologies.
- Passion for JavaScript and the Web, with experience in Angular, React, or Vue.
- Experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases.
- Experience with LLVM, language runtime development, or low-level systems engineering is a strong plus.
- Experience working across cloud development, platforms, web development, frameworks, and service-oriented architecture.
- Capability to manage multiple projects with material technical risk and serve as a functional lead or technical owner.
