Responsibilities
- Conduct security design reviews and threat modeling for new and existing products, architectures, and systems.
- Identify vulnerabilities and attack vectors, create proofs of concept, document findings, and provide actionable remediation guidance.
- Partner with engineering and product teams to embed security into product design and development.
- Implement product security controls and processes across trading infrastructure, cloud services, business applications, and hybrid environments.
- Build and maintain a secure software development lifecycle focused on secure coding practices.
- Integrate SAST and DAST security scanning into CI/CD pipelines and runtime environments.
- Deliver continuous monitoring and threat detection across cloud services and on-premises systems.
- Mentor, guide, and train engineering teams on security best practices and secure development processes.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for complex systems in a fast-paced trading environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in product or application security and securing software development across large engineering organizations.
- Deep knowledge of security principles, attack surfaces, and remediation patterns for cloud platforms, SaaS tooling, and internal applications.
- Experience finding vulnerabilities in infrastructure and application code and producing proofs of concept that demonstrate risk.
- Extensive hands-on AWS experience and understanding of security boundaries in hybrid on-premises environments.
- Ability to read code fluently and identify unsafe patterns in Python, C++, Rust, Go, or Kotlin/Java.
- Experience leading threat modeling sessions and translating findings into mitigations for large-scale, complex systems.
- Clear communication, rigorous problem-solving, and ability to adapt under pressure.
- Familiarity with trading financial systems is preferred.
