Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end architecture of the SonicSandbox analysis pipeline and UrlProtection microservices.
- Design, develop, and deliver new malware, URL, behavioral-analysis, sandboxing, and machine-learning detection capabilities.
- Define technical direction, coding and testing standards, architecture practices, and technical-debt priorities.
- Manage the full software delivery lifecycle from solution design and development through Debian/Docker packaging and production deployment.
- Monitor platform health, lead incident response, and drive root-cause analysis and service-reliability improvements.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to two Senior Software Engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical initiatives and product objectives.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of software engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8 years with a master’s degree, 6 years with a PhD, or equivalent professional experience.
- Expert Python development experience, including asyncio, aiohttp, FastAPI, multithreading, and distributed task processing with RabbitMQ, Taskiq/Redis, Celery, or similar technologies.
- Strong C and C++ experience maintaining compiled software components.
- Experience with KVM/libvirt or comparable virtualization and hypervisor technologies.
- Deep knowledge of malware analysis, sandbox technologies, cybersecurity platforms, or related security software.
- Production experience deploying and managing machine-learning inference workloads using PyTorch, LightGBM, scikit-learn, or ONNX.
- Preferred experience building or supporting production-scale headless browser automation pipelines.
- Knowledge of MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Redis, MongoDB, and Consul, plus experience managing Docker and Docker Compose applications.
- Ability to lead large, complex codebases spanning multiple systems and services.
- Excellent written communication and experience working in distributed, asynchronous engineering teams.
