Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans.
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to define test coverage.
- Build and maintain robust automation frameworks for various testing types.
- Design testing infrastructure for automated service validation.
- Continuously improve quality engineering practices and drive adoption.
- Develop reusable test utilities and libraries for automation efficiency.
- Maintain existing automation frameworks for scalability and performance.
- Partner with infrastructure teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results and work with development teams to resolve defects.
- Support release readiness activities and provide actionable recommendations.
- Advocate for a shift-left testing approach in the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software testing and executing test plans.
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining automated tests.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
- Strong experience testing REST APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Experience with contract testing frameworks like Pact.
- Familiarity with gRPC services and service-to-service testing.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium.
- Strong experience with API testing tools like Postman and REST Assured.
- Familiarity with modern development and DevOps tools.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and CI/CD practices.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
