Responsibilities
- Lead engineering work spanning application design, development, testing, and service-in activities for new functions and services.
- Understand business requirements and deliver high-quality features quickly.
- Maintain and improve service levels for financial applications.
- Coordinate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Review requirements documents, design documents, test cases, and other development products.
- Manage process quality from requirements definition through system release against standard development processes.
- Analyze test quality, defect trends, quality risks, and root causes.
- Analyze post-release faults across applications, infrastructure, and operations and provide countermeasures.
- Communicate issues and improvement recommendations to relevant departments.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of business application design experience in financial systems.
- At least 5 years of Web/open systems design and implementation experience.
- At least 5 years of Java implementation experience.
- At least 3 years of Oracle Database knowledge and experience.
- Experience securing non-functional requirements including performance, security, and productivity.
- At least 1 year of software quality control or QA experience at a system company, or at least 3 years of system test planning and test design experience.
- Quality analysis skills, logical thinking, flexibility, multitasking ability, initiative, communication skills, summarization ability, and Japanese writing skills.
- Preferred: lead engineer or team-leading experience, Web/AP server and infrastructure experience, mission-critical system development, end-user service development, financial institution experience, system development experience, and testing qualifications such as JSTQB.
