
Lead Software Engineer - Java & AI

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, stable, scalable software solutions.
- Write, review, and debug high-quality production code.
- Lead responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and automation tools.
- Establish standards for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, security, and compliance.
- Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system stability.
- Lead technical evaluation sessions with vendors, startups, and internal teams regarding architectures and technology applicability.
- Lead software engineering communities of practice and promote adoption of emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI practices, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#.
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models and generative AI.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, and Hugging Face.
- Experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Expertise in microservices, RESTful APIs, and relational or NoSQL database technologies.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Experience with JMeter, Blazemeter, and Chaos Monkey Testing.
- Experience with JUnit, UDF, Tophat, Cucumber, Groovy, Postman, REST Assured, Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, and IntelliJ.
- Preferred qualifications include cloud certification, cloud-native development experience, financial-services IT knowledge, performance and chaos test scripting, A/B testing knowledge, strong system design, application development, operational stability, and cross-team communication skills.
