Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, troubleshoot, and maintain embedded firmware for electronic locking products.
- Develop firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C and RTOS environments.
- Implement communication protocols and wireless technologies including I2C, SPI, UART, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
- Integrate firmware with hardware designs, sensors, peripherals, and communication modules.
- Collaborate with hardware and engineering teams throughout product development.
- Support product validation, testing, verification, firmware releases, updates, and technical documentation.
- Provide technical support to production and internal teams and contribute to new product development and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of embedded firmware or software development experience.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in C programming and experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based products.
- Knowledge of I2C, SPI, and UART communication interfaces and experience with BLE and Wi-Fi.
- Familiarity with RTOS, Git, and development tools.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
