Base Salary
$105k - $135k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test software solutions in C++ and Python for Windows and Linux.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address software requirements.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Participate in software architecture and design discussions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and operational issues.
- Document software design and implementation details.
- Track industry trends and emerging technologies to inform product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Five years of software development experience with a focus on object-oriented design and programming.
- Five years of programming experience using C++.
- Strong knowledge of C++11 or higher, STL or Boost, template metaprogramming, Visual C++, and GCC.
- Experience with cross-platform Windows and Linux development.
- Experience with multithreaded and multicore software, mutexes, semaphores, process and thread synchronization, and resource control.
- Knowledge of UDP/TCP/IP socket programming, filesystems, heap and stack memory management, and legacy C.
- Strong debugging skills using Visual Studio and GCC.
- Understanding of communications protocols, including IP and avionics buses, and software design patterns.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems and databases such as SQL.
- RTOS, driver and kernel code, Python, Perl, Lua, and software development project leadership experience are valued.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Markdown, software development lifecycles, configuration management, change management, Jira, and Bitbucket is an asset.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
- Eligibility for CGP security clearance is required.

- Annual base salary is listed as $105,000–$135,000.
