Responsibilities

Drive the design, architecture, and delivery of complex backend systems supporting 3D and computer vision experiences at scale.
Lead development of mission-critical APIs, data pipelines, and services for high-traffic global applications.
Partner with product and engineering leadership on technical direction, foundational investments, scalability, and performance.
Mentor senior engineers, conduct architecture reviews, and raise engineering quality across teams.
Champion scalability, resiliency, observability, and maintainability for backend systems.
Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning multiple teams and stakeholders.
Help shape the engineering organization’s long-term technical vision and culture.
Influence hiring, onboarding, and employee growth strategies.

8+ years of software development experience building and operating scalable, reliable production systems.
Strong experience with complex ETL flows and high-throughput systems is highly preferred.
Deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, networking, databases, and other computer science fundamentals.
Experience designing and scaling distributed systems with emphasis on performance, observability, and fault tolerance.
Strong architectural judgment and experience making technical decisions affecting multiple teams and systems.
Ability to influence and mentor senior engineers, guide teams through ambiguity, and improve engineering practices.
Strong ownership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, autonomous, product-driven environment.
Experience with e-commerce and catalog management is preferred.
Familiarity with Python, Django, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, and AWS is strongly preferred, with analogous experience and willingness to learn also welcomed.
