Base Salary
$117k - $187k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own solution designs for high-complexity domains and mentor junior Technical Software Architects.
- Create and maintain high-level designs, current-versus-target-state documentation, context diagrams, sequence diagrams, and other architecture artifacts.
- Evaluate architectural trade-offs and validate non-functional requirements.
- Govern identity, data platforms, API platforms, observability, security, cloud patterns, logging, and enterprise standards.
- Lead product evaluations, build-versus-buy decisions, proof-of-concepts, design reviews, and technical risk tracking.
- Maintain architecture artifacts and current-state ecosystem information with enterprise architecture oversight.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, best practices, and governance through the Architecture Review Board and project work.
- Ensure alignment across enterprise, solution, and technical architecture layers while driving scalability, performance, resilience, and technology adoption.
- Develop the architect community of practice, mentor team members, and support succession planning.
- Align technology strategy and solution architecture with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
- Seven or more years of experience in software engineering and five or more years of repeatedly guiding large-scale, multi-year transformations through architecture design and support.
- Broad experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP, including AI/ML enablement.
- Expertise in API management, microservices, and distributed systems architecture.
- Experience with Salesforce, FACETS, ServiceNow, Matillion, Apigee, Snowflake, and data warehousing tools and practices.
- Experience with data architecture, analytics platforms, and data governance.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts, produce clear diagrams, evaluate alternative designs, and influence without authority.
- Experience with software development, integration, configuration management, and project management office reporting methodologies.
- Proven leadership of large-scale digital transformation initiatives and ability to align technology strategy with business outcomes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, adaptability, and willingness to learn and teach modern technologies and processes.
- Expertise in Agile or waterfall methodologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree in a technical discipline, experience with multiple platforms, operating systems, relational database management systems, and integrated development environments, and four or more years of healthcare or insurance industry experience.
