Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Python/Django, Oracle, SQL, legacy, and modern administrative applications.
- Build and maintain integrations among UHD systems, including CS Gold, StarRez, Mainframe, and Workday.
- Prioritize process automation and evaluate emerging technologies or third-party software.
- Manage support tickets, research problems, and provide timely customer responses.
- Analyze, test, debug, document, and provide training for new and updated software.
- Collaborate with developers, leadership, IT teams, business areas, and campus technology groups.
Requirements
- At least one year of production software development experience using Python and/or Natural/ADABAS.
- Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an IT-related field is preferred.
- Experience with University Housing and Dining systems and the University of Texas IT environment is preferred.
- Experience with Git and relational databases such as MySQL or Oracle is preferred.
- Ability to analyze, test, document, and debug code and manage multiple concurrent priorities is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, customer service, independent-work, teamwork, and learning skills are preferred.
