Responsibilities
- Develop driving-planning algorithms for autonomous driving and driver-assistance systems.
- Implement efficient real-time ADAS application software for embedded systems and platforms.
- Develop velocity-management, path-planning, vehicle-dynamics, and decision-making functionality subject to environmental, perception, map, and actuation constraints.
- Evaluate application functionality and performance using data from test vehicles and vehicle simulators.
- Collaborate across functions on vehicle-controller and actuator performance and motion-control design reviews.
- Understand customer requirements and define software requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant software, electrical, mechatronic, robotics, industrial, aerospace, or equivalent engineering field.
- Coding experience with C, C++, or MATLAB/Simulink.
- More than two years of work experience, including software development experience for productization.
- Native-level Japanese proficiency at N1 or higher.
- Automotive-industry experience is preferred.
- ADAS driving-planning or vehicle-dynamics control experience, such as ACC or AEB, is preferred.
- Experience developing real-time applications optimized for embedded systems is preferred.
- Python and Linux development experience is preferred.
- Experience with CERT-C or MISRA-C coding conventions is preferred.
