Responsibilities
- Write quality software, participate in code reviews, and contribute to engineering best practices and documentation.
- Make full-stack system design decisions involving API architecture, data models, and UI component structure.
- Build responsive React interfaces and reusable UI components.
- Develop secure Express.js backend services using REST APIs, modular design, and Prisma ORM.
- Build guardrails, validation layers, end-to-end tests, and supporting systems for safe and reliable AI-assisted development.
- Write and review unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and support automated quality gates.
- Collaborate with design, product, DevSecOps, and field teams to deliver features.
- Troubleshoot bugs, improve performance, and build for IL6 deployment requirements.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of relevant software engineering experience and demonstrated full-stack software development expertise.
- Experience using AI-enabled development tools to ship software rapidly.
- Strong React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, component-design, hooks, responsive-design, and modern frontend-pattern skills.
- Strong Express.js backend skills with hands-on Prisma ORM experience and knowledge of relational databases, SQL, indexing, and query optimization.
- Experience with testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, Playwright, and Cypress, including automated validation and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with secure software development practices and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions and GitLab.
- Comfort with Agile/Lean delivery cycles and direct user feedback loops.
- Active Secret security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in secure DoD, IL5+, or FedRAMP environments; geospatial application development; Security+ or AWS Developer/Architect certifications; and startup or rapid-growth team experience.
