Base Salary
$136k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own system and software architecture, including requirements analysis, use cases, design decisions, and implementation plans.
- Lead software design, implementation, integration, and testing using Java and C++.
- Serve as a technical point of contact, recommend technologies, and drive engineering process improvements.
- Diagnose and resolve software defects and system integration issues, including support for deployed operational systems.
- Collaborate with customers and cross-functional engineering teams on requirements, operations, and technical improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and participate in design and code reviews.
- Coach and mentor junior engineers.
- Travel up to 20%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree and at least 7 years of related experience, or 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years of experience as a technical lead, software architect, or in project-level software leadership.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Strong object-oriented design, multithreaded programming, concurrency, and synchronization experience.
- Ability to lead architecture decisions across embedded, platform, and cloud domains.
- Proficiency with Java, Python, and Rust.
- Experience with RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS and Linux is helpful.
- Active TS/SCI clearance and experience in space, aerospace, or defense systems are preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, learning, and customer-interaction skills are preferred.
