Responsibilities
- Write, maintain, and extend automated test suites for Luma modules using Cucumber, TypeScript, Cypress, and Playwright where applicable.
- Own day-to-day quality by contributing test scenarios, testing stories, and assessing release readiness.
- Design and document functional, regression, and integration test cases.
- Perform manual exploratory testing and investigate, reproduce, report, and verify software defects.
- Maintain reliable tests in CI pipelines and help improve test execution and reporting.
- Interpret API documentation and translate it into meaningful automated coverage.
- Collaborate with developers, application scientists, DevOps engineers, product experts, and test automation specialists.
Requirements
- Require 2–5 years of QA/testing experience, including at least one year of hands-on test automation.
- Practical Cypress experience, including selectors, custom commands, debugging, and existing Page Object Model usage.
- Working knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript, including asynchronous code, promises, and async/await.
- Experience with BDD/Cucumber or willingness to learn it quickly, including Gherkin specifications.
- Ability to design and document clear, repeatable test scenarios.
- Comfort with Git and GitHub, including branching, pull requests, and code review.
- Experience working in JIRA or a similar tracking system.
- Preferred experience with Playwright, API testing tools such as Postman or REST clients, API-level automated tests, and performance or load testing with K6 or similar tools.
- Preferred familiarity with data integrity validation across upgrades, migrations, or schema changes and with science, engineering, or research software.
