Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain shared automation frameworks, internal services, and developer tools for QA and engineering teams.
- Validate functionality, integration, reliability, performance, and usability across applications and platform layers.
- Build and evaluate AI-assisted and agent-based testing capabilities with repeatable evaluations, human oversight, permissions, and fallback behavior.
- Automate security testing for APIs, applications, and platforms, including authentication, authorization, access boundaries, and sensitive-data handling.
- Test AI-enabled tooling for prompt injection, incorrect outputs, information exposure, unintended actions, and dependency failures.
- Integrate reusable quality and security checks into CI/CD workflows with diagnostics, test data, documentation, and environment compatibility.
- Investigate failures and production issues and assess correctness, reliability, maintenance effort, and cost.
- Drive adoption through documentation, demonstrations, mentoring, shared testing practices, and measurement of engineering improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Typically 6–8 years of software testing experience, including 3+ years building test automation frameworks, quality engineering tools, or shared testing platforms.
- Strong programming skills including Python, with experience in software design, automated testing, code review, and maintainable shared frameworks.
- Hands-on testing experience across APIs, services, user interfaces, and platform integrations, including functional, integration, reliability, and performance testing.
- Experience building and evaluating AI-assisted testing solutions involving agent workflows, variable outputs, evaluation criteria, tool permissions, data protection, and failure handling.
- Experience delivering reusable tooling for multiple teams, with product thinking, documentation, stakeholder collaboration, adoption support, and ongoing maintenance.
- Strong experience with cloud environments, CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability.
- Hands-on security testing experience covering authentication, authorization, API security, and sensitive-data handling.
- Preferred experience owning internal developer or QA products, evaluating AI safety and robustness, building shared test capabilities, and establishing testing standards across teams.
