Base Salary
$167k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Set direction, motivate teams, and promote a strong security mindset across the company.
- Architect, operate, and continuously develop security response tooling and environments, including SOAR, SIEM, incident response, forensics, and agentic AI.
- Contribute to the vision and implementation of Workday’s cybersecurity response program.
- Evolve response platforms that enable Cyber Defense to operate with precision, automation, and innovation.
- Lead and support security incident response across the organization, including high-severity incidents.
- Mentor new and existing staff and help drive team development.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity or information security roles, including 2 or more years of hands-on technical leadership experience.
- Experience with at least one scripting language and with conversational AI, generative AI, or AI agents.
- Experience with security monitoring and incident response.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience architecting and deploying scalable cloud-native security solutions, with a software development background supporting rapid prototyping and iterative implementation.
- Experience with security alert triage, investigation, incident response and management, threat hunting, digital forensics, SIEM, SOAR, artificial intelligence for security processes, or secure software development lifecycle practices.
- Relevant certifications or training such as Offensive Security, SANS, CISSP, or specific security tooling are beneficial.
- Ability to manage complex projects and stakeholders, lead high-severity incidents, and rapidly learn emerging technologies and platforms.
