Responsibilities
- Ensure applications meet business requirements, systems goals, and end-user needs while identifying and resolving systems issues.
- Analyze existing application effectiveness and develop strategies for improvement or reuse.
- Work with business liaisons and project teams to gather requirements, estimate work, prioritize issues, and solve problems.
- Develop business-oriented data dictionaries and provide data input affecting engagement scope and delivery.
- Contribute to data warehouse architecture, technology stack decisions, data modeling, and ETL standards.
- Define enterprise-wide data aggregation approaches across multiple systems and data integration points.
- Profile data to measure its quality and integrity.
- Develop systems specifications, data flows, application diagrams, ER diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Implement tools, scripts, queries, and applications for accessing and analyzing data and metadata.
- Build and deliver databases, stored procedures, BI reports, and ETL processes.
- Lead internal meetings, present analysis findings to stakeholders, and participate in client calls.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience across multiple database platforms, ETL development, and related software development.
- College degree in computer science or computer information systems, or equivalent business experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building applications with SSAS, SSRS, and .NET technologies.
- At least 5 years of experience building ETL processes with SSIS.
- At least 2 years of experience building ad hoc reporting environments using report models and SharePoint.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, stored procedures, BI report development, and database delivery using SQL, T-SQL, or PL/SQL.
- Experience with at least one BI tool or ETL tool, preferably the Microsoft BI stack.
- Experience with dimensional and 3NF modeling and with OLTP and OLAP environments.
- Ability to scope data work and contribute to strategies and roadmaps.
- Experience creating presentations and technical design documents.
- Proven analytical, evaluative, problem-solving, written communication, and oral communication abilities.
- IT consulting experience and the ability to work effectively in a team-based delivery environment.
