Responsibilities
- Design and develop database management systems, standards, guidelines, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
- Patch, maintain, secure, and support database systems for production operations.
- Develop and test complex database programs and logical processes in client-server environments.
- Translate business requirements into data, database, table, and element specifications.
- Analyze data architecture, relational table and field relationships, storage organization, and capacity needs.
- Develop database performance tuning, backup, recovery, archiving, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with developers, data analysts, data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Support operational efficiency through automation, process improvement, and technical debt remediation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or Information Systems, or at least 7 years of database engineering and administration experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 4 years of experience in database engineering and administration.
- Knowledge of database design, implementation, documentation, management, data structures, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and data security practices.
- Experience translating business data needs into technical language and working with large, unstructured, disparate data sources.
- Experience with Oracle relational databases and query or coding languages such as SQL and PL/SQL.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future for employment.
- Must be at least eighteen years of age.
- Preferred experience with Oracle Database 19c multitenant architecture, Oracle E-Business Suite R12 administration, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure autonomous databases, Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.5, SQL optimization, Jenkins, Ansible, Python, GitHub, CyberArk, ServiceNow, OEL9, Oracle Database 26ai, or Oracle OEM 24ai.
