Base Salary
$110k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Provide technical and thought leadership across multiple enterprise areas.
- Collaborate with product managers, customers, engineering teams, and other stakeholders to solve complex problems.
- Develop and execute software development strategies and technical roadmaps.
- Design, build, improve, and enhance software systems with attention to quality, usability, performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Use Java, Python or other object-oriented languages, SQL, NoSQL databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and Azure tools and services.
- Mentor engineers and product professionals, strengthen technical expertise, and educate executives.
- Share best practices and improve engineering processes across teams.
- Analyze costs, forecast needs, support resource planning, evaluate operations, and measure outcomes.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software development experience with Java and Spring.
- 8+ years of architecture and design experience.
- 6+ years of experience with open-source frameworks.
- 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
- Experience using Cursor AI, transferring research to production, and influencing engineering and product direction.
- A track record of publications in credible conferences and journals.
- Experience with continuous delivery, infrastructure as code, developer tooling, application monitoring, and performance assessment.
- Fluency and specialization in at least two modern languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Experience with microservices-oriented architecture, REST APIs, architecture and design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, quantitative problem solving, cloud architecture, DevOps concepts, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Azure Portal, Azure networking, and datacenter capabilities.
- Understanding of Active Directory, Windows Authentication, SAML, OAuth, and related security protocols and products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
