Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the Android platform foundation by defining architecture and engineering patterns.
- Lead hands-on Android system design to address complex product and platform challenges.
- Improve reliability and delivery confidence through effective design, testing, and operational practices.
- Create clear mobile-facing system contracts in collaboration with iOS, backend, product, and design teams.
- Raise mobile-system judgment by establishing reusable standards and enhancing engineering practices.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in modern production Android architecture with a proven track record.
- Ability to represent mobile platform principles and shape cross-functional architecture decisions.
- Experience in shaping mobile-facing platform contracts and improving product quality.
- Ability to read, debug, and contribute to backend systems to support mobile outcomes.
- Experience with AI-enabled engineering systems that enhance validation and delivery confidence.
- Strong judgment in reliability and release quality across production mobile systems.
- Proven ability to mentor engineers and establish clear standards and patterns.
