Responsibilities
- Build and maintain front-end build systems using npm, pnpm, Vite, Babel, workspaces, monorepos, dependency caching, lockfiles, and private registries.
- Maintain Java builds with Maven and Gradle, including multi-module projects, dependency management, and build-performance improvements.
- Publish and version reproducible artifacts through Artifactory or similar tools.
- Design and build CI/CD pipelines in Harness and GitHub Actions for build, testing, security scanning, and deployment.
- Create reusable pipeline templates and implement quality, security, approval, blue/green, canary, rollback, and release-tracking controls.
- Write and maintain Terraform modules and state management for AWS infrastructure, including networking, compute, containers, storage, databases, IAM, and policy checks.
- Build and operate Docker and ECS/EKS container platforms and integrate Vault or CyberArk secrets management.
- Automate and harden Linux servers and container images while supporting migration from Solaris and Windows.
- Write Shell and Python scripts for automation, troubleshooting, and operational tasks.
- Support migration of batch jobs and file transfers and collaborate with SRE on logging, metrics, alerting, runbooks, and environment troubleshooting.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, or platform engineering roles.
- Practical experience with npm and pnpm for React and TypeScript projects.
- Strong experience with Maven and Gradle for Java builds.
- Production experience writing Terraform modules and managing Terraform state for AWS.
- Hands-on AWS experience across compute, networking, IAM, containers, and managed services.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Harness and/or GitHub Actions; Jenkins experience is a plus.
- Strong Linux administration, hardening, and Bash/Python scripting skills.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/ECS/EKS, Git, branching strategies, and pull-request workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include regulated financial services experience, Vault or CyberArk, security scanning tools, Liquibase or Flyway, and AWS DevOps Engineer, AWS SysOps Administrator, or HashiCorp Terraform certifications.
