Responsibilities
- Build and maintain front-end build tooling for React/TypeScript applications using npm, pnpm, Vite, Babel, workspaces, monorepos, dependency caching, lockfile management, and private registries.
- Set up and maintain Java builds with Maven and Gradle, including multi-module projects, dependency management, and build-performance improvements.
- Publish and version reproducible artifacts through Artifactory or a similar artifact repository.
- Design and build Harness and GitHub Actions pipelines for build, test, security scanning, and deployment across environments.
- Create reusable pipeline templates and implement quality and security gates including unit tests, code coverage, SAST/SCA scanning, container image scanning, and approvals.
- Support blue/green and canary deployments, automated rollback, release tracking, and State Street change-management requirements.
- Write and maintain Terraform modules for AWS, manage Terraform state and module versions, perform policy checks, and remediate configuration drift.
- Build and operate Docker and ECS/EKS container platforms and integrate secrets management into pipelines and runtime environments.
- Build, harden, and automate Linux servers and container images; write Shell and Python scripts for automation, troubleshooting, and operations.
- Support migration of batch jobs and file transfers to the target platform, including AutoSys and MFX/SFTP.
- Work with SRE to implement logging, metrics, and alerting using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Troubleshoot build, deployment, and environment issues; document runbooks and standards; and use AI assistants with review to accelerate development.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps, build engineering, or platform engineering roles.
- Practical npm and pnpm experience with React/TypeScript projects and strong Maven and Gradle experience.
- Production experience writing Terraform modules and managing Terraform state for AWS.
- Hands-on AWS experience across compute, networking, IAM, containers, and managed services.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with Harness and/or GitHub Actions; Jenkins experience is a plus.
- Strong Linux administration, hardening, and scripting experience with Bash and Python.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/ECS/EKS, Git, branching strategies, and pull-request workflows.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in regulated financial services, Vault or CyberArk, security scanning tools, database change pipelines with Liquibase or Flyway, and AWS DevOps Engineer or SysOps Administrator and/or HashiCorp Terraform certification.
