Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and continuously improve Gradle build systems for fast, reliable, and scalable C/C++ builds.
- Improve developer productivity, build reliability, maintainability, and automation across the development lifecycle.
- Lead evaluation, planning, and execution of third-party library, framework, and toolchain upgrades.
- Manage compatibility issues, breaking changes, security patches, and vulnerability remediation.
- Partner with architecture specialists and cross-functional teams to define standards and resolve complex build and integration issues.
- Apply data-driven analysis to identify and prioritize optimization opportunities.
- Develop and maintain automation and tooling that reduces manual development processes.
Requirements
- Strong programming experience with C/C++, including memory management, performance optimization, and systems-level development in large-scale codebases.
- Hands-on Gradle experience, including build authoring, custom plugins, dependency management, build performance tuning, and native/C++ build integration.
- Proven experience managing third-party dependencies and toolchain upgrades in large-scale codebases.
- Solid understanding of compilers, linkers, and build toolchains such as GCC and Clang.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong object-oriented programming background, preferably with C/C++.
- Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs is preferred.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and/or Android operating system development is preferred.
- Experience with debuggers, source code control systems such as GitHub, and profilers is a plus.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, leadership, and attention-to-detail skills.
