Base Salary
$63k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy end-to-end web applications integrating AI and large language models.
- Develop Python backends, APIs, frontend interfaces, databases, and AI-searchable vector data systems.
- Implement retrieval-augmented generation workflows for secure searching and referencing of internal documents.
- Containerize and package applications for stable deployment in secure, restricted, or air-gapped environments.
- Implement AI guardrails to reduce off-topic outputs and hallucinations in mission-support tools.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship, residence in the Dayton, Ohio area, and ability to work on-site at Wright Patterson AFB.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and API frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Experience with frontend frameworks or libraries including React, Vue, or Streamlit.
- Strong experience with relational and vector databases, including PostgreSQL, pgvector, Milvus, or Chroma.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
- Experience with Docker or Podman and Git.
- Preferred experience deploying containerized applications in restricted, disconnected, or IL5+ environments.
- Preferred experience with Hugging Face, Llama 3, Mistral, vLLM, llama.cpp, GGUF, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.
- Preferred ability to implement AI safety guardrails and evaluation practices.
