Responsibilities
- Participate in the architecture, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of concurrent distributed backend systems in Go.
- Build, deploy, and operate proxy data-plane gateways and relays and control-plane services.
- Implement secure network protocols, TLS/mTLS, credential brokering, key management, authentication, least-privilege policy enforcement, and audit trails.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps/SRE teams on roadmaps and software solutions.
- Conduct code and design reviews focused on performance, security, maintainability, and quality.
- Diagnose and resolve defects and production connectivity or performance issues across distributed, multi-cloud environments.
- Maintain documentation for services, APIs, and deployment processes.
- Provide technical mentorship and promote continuous improvement and software, security, and DevOps best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience focused on Go, distributed systems, and backend or network service development.
- Proficiency with concurrent and systems-level programming, including goroutines, channels, and Go networking and cryptography libraries.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, network protocols, and API design using gRPC/Protobuf and/or RESTful APIs.
- Experience with AWS or another major cloud provider and cloud-native deployment models.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Experience deploying and operating distributed services using Terraform automation and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Ability to mentor or support teammates and work effectively in a collaborative, structured environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, learning, and adaptability skills.
