Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom computer vision and image-processing algorithms from scratch.
- Integrate advanced perception algorithms and learned models into high-performance, real-time C++ pipelines.
- Adapt, evaluate, and improve detection, classification, recognition, and segmentation models for operational imagery.
- Optimize inference and perception software for reliable deployment in edge compute environments.
- Own technical work from ambiguous requirements through algorithm design, implementation, integration, and delivery.
- Collaborate with AI experts, robotics engineers, optical engineers, and other multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- Deep proficiency in C++ and experience developing high-performance or real-time software is required.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing custom computer vision algorithms rather than relying exclusively on existing libraries is required.
- Strong foundations in computer vision, image processing, machine learning, data structures, algorithms, performance optimization, and version control are required.
- Preferred experience includes object detection, target tracking, 3D reconstruction, SLAM, camera calibration, behaviour analysis, or real-time video surveillance systems.
- Familiarity with OpenCV and practical experience integrating deep learning models into real-time computer vision systems are preferred.
- A Master’s or PhD, and experience in defense, autonomous unmanned systems, or other mission-critical domains, are preferred.
