Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable, highly available IT solutions across applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, databases, and integrations.
- Define functional and non-functional requirements, architectural blueprints, technical roadmaps, workflows, diagrams, and integration patterns.
- Support cloud migration, hybrid architectures, disaster recovery, capacity planning, system optimization, performance tuning, and infrastructure efficiency.
- Develop API strategies, middleware solutions, data integration approaches, monitoring and logging practices, dashboards, and automation tools.
- Collaborate with IT, business, engineering, development, operations, database, vendor, and leadership teams to resolve architecture challenges and align solutions with organizational goals.
- Guide DevOps, deployment standardization, infrastructure automation, software development, security, compliance, and IT governance practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and third-party solutions through vendor assessments and proof-of-concept evaluations.
- Mentor engineers, developers, junior architects, and IT project teams on architecture principles, design patterns, and technical best practices.
- Document architecture decisions, conduct post-implementation reviews, and contribute to enterprise-wide architecture standards and strategy.
Requirements
- Education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Four years of related experience in IT solution architecture, system integration, or enterprise application development.
- Knowledge of cloud computing, virtualization, enterprise networking, applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, security, databases, and networking.
- Experience or skill in system design, API development, data integration, IT automation, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, compliance standards, IT governance, risk management, and enterprise architecture practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and technical decision-making skills.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF, ITIL, and CISSP or an equivalent security certification.
- Must possess a valid Texas driver's license, maintain a good driving record, provide a 10-year driving history, and pass required fingerprint-based records checks when applicable.
