Responsibilities
- Define test automation strategy and lead teams through complex projects.
- Develop new testing methods, libraries, automation solutions, and frameworks.
- Partner with developers to automate new platforms and features.
- Coordinate testing efforts across teams and ensure high-quality feature delivery.
- Report product qualification status and system performance metrics to functional teams and senior management.
- Drive testing best practices, maintainability, and adoption across the SDET team.
- Mentor and coach team members and identify and address test automation gaps.
- Participate in sprint planning, grooming, standups, desk checks, and user acceptance testing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on testing experience on Android mobile devices and/or web, including at least 2 years in a team lead role.
- Experience building UI tests with Kotlin and Espresso.
- Experience defining automation strategies for entire products or features and leading automation in cross-functional environments.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented concepts, Git, and collaboration on test automation scenarios.
- Experience working in continuous integration environments such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with cross-functional Scrum teams and independently completing complex engineering tasks.
- Experience implementing automation solutions and frameworks for complex front-end systems with clean, readable, and performant code.
- Preferred experience building automated testing frameworks from the ground up.
- Preferred experience with REST API and GraphQL testing or test data setup.
- Preferred experience with Cypress, Playwright, Percy, Applitools, mocking frameworks, CI/CD pipeline automation, and release management.
