Responsibilities
- Develop and document detailed test plans and test cases based on functional and technical specifications.
- Perform manual and automated software and system testing for Wi‑Fi and switch products.
- Collaborate with developers, customer support teams, and field engineers to identify and resolve issues.
- Analyze and troubleshoot LAN, L2/L3 protocols, switching features, wireless security, and network-management issues.
- Use packet capture and analysis techniques and specialized network test tools and equipment.
- Support testing-lab planning and test automation through scripting when applicable.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA engineering, network/system testing, or software validation.
- Hands-on experience testing L2/L3 switches and switch-management functionality.
- Strong knowledge of LAN, TCP/IP, NAT, IGMPv2/v3, NTP, DNS, FTP, SNMP, 802.1X, QoS, and firewall technologies.
- Experience with wireless security and WiFi Hotspot/WISPr.
- Experience with IxChariot, IxLoad, IxExplorer, and IxVeriWave test tools or equipment.
- Familiarity with L2TP, PPTP, GRE, SoftGRE, IPsec, and SSH tunneling protocols.
- Familiarity with QA methodologies and test-management tools.
- Preferred experience with automation tools and scripting, especially Python.
- Preferred experience with testing-lab planning, IPv6, Linux, authentication-server setup, and security testing for authentication and authorization.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills across cross-functional teams.
