Responsibilities
- Develop maintainable Python and FastAPI backends for APIs.
- Use AWS cloud services to support a complex workflow engine.
- Build backend systems for large language model applications on AWS.
- Collaborate with the CTO, founding engineer, frontend engineers, and product manager to deliver backend functionality.
- Apply TDD practices while building and maintaining software.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience with Python.
- Experience with REST service frameworks including Django, Flask, or FastAPI, with FastAPI used in production.
- Deep understanding of ORM, data modeling, and management tools such as SQLAlchemy, Alembic, and Pydantic.
- Previous experience with AWS Lambda and Step Functions for workflow engines.
- Experience with TDD and frameworks such as pytest.
- CDK or Terraform experience for infrastructure as code is a major plus.
- Self-motivated, accountable, fluent in English, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
