Responsibilities
- Develop new features and enhancements with minimal supervision.
- Fix moderately complex bugs and perform debugging and medium-level refactoring.
- Design and build REST services, APIs, third-party integrations, and workflow architectures.
- Implement unit and integration testing where needed.
- Review code, provide constructive feedback, and identify code improvements and vulnerabilities.
- Produce technical documentation, knowledge base contributions, and technical team presentations.
- Estimate and prioritize work, raise roadblocks, and contribute to product roadmap objectives.
- Follow SDLC practices, peer code reviews, release preparation, and secure software development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of software development experience.
- Professional experience building web applications with Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience building single-page applications with React, Angular, or a similar framework; front-end build tools and CSS methodologies are desirable.
- Professional experience with SQL and relational database management systems such as MySQL.
- Experience with source control such as Git.
- Experience designing and building REST services and APIs.
- Experience with third-party APIs, workflow, and integration architectures.
- Experience with cloud service providers and their APIs, with AWS preferred.
- Experience with Redis is desirable.
- Understanding of OWASP, testing and integration testing techniques, development frameworks, and industry libraries.
